After today's meeting, what did we decide on for our fees for next year? Just wondering in case I need to list my grandmother on gumtree soon...

Flying - $300, New Flyer - $220, Social - $90, Junior - $150, Assoc - $180, Spouse - $220
I think that is what we voted on but until it is in the minutes it is not official.

This new yearly membership fee of $300 equates to $5.75 per week ..just one coffee and donut....or a couple of small beers... or 6 cigarettes..weekly..... not enough for even one Big Mac...... put in context a WAM membership has got to be the cheapest and best value entertainment available . FOR $5.75 PER WEEK we get unlimited use of the field.... .expert help with any issues we have with our planes...BBQ days and good company and a clubhouse to be proud of. ...a bargain in anyone's language.

So we have Scanner racing. Maybe someone will film this Sunday's antics to encourage more racing amongst the clubs!!

Finance minister ???

Yes Patch, some of us elderly gentlemen require "Finance ministers" to remind us that a $500 bottle of perfume or a new pearl necklace has a higher priority than a shitty looking
piece of balsa that just makes funny noises!!! Then again there is that little voice in our heads that argues the difference between "A HAPPY WIFE A HAPPY LIFE" no bugger it just buy the bloody plane!!!

My first reply was meant to read 'Finance Minister (smiley face) (smiley face)' ... Sometimes the bottle of perfume flies better than anything made from balsa or so I'm told

My wife's not into perfume, so I bought her a Saito 72 instead. It hasn't flown in my direction, which is a comfort, but it has been placed in a specially bought cabinet that will remain INSIDE THE HOUSE for display until she's bought a plane for it.
I'm told by my 'Finance Minister' that if she finds out that it has been test-run without her, that it will certainly fly... in my direction... accurately... (scared face) (scared face)...

Looks good Peter T. JR has them up on the website. The new member part has a social member at $20 for the last half-year though. I presume it is supposed to be $45?

Yeah a couple of membership forms at the clubhouse would be handy....I haven't got a printer....Cheers

The Spad forum is not dead ...it's just resting....I'm hoping for a resurrection at some stage when we have enough interested members to go ahead with a single plane type that will suit all involved....if we try to build from more than one plan..it would be too labour intensive and confusing......what ever plane we decide on.. i will build one first to to be sure it flies well...We.will need at least 4 or 5 people to go ahead ....anyway just putting it out there to see who is interested in what....we now have the space so let's use it. Link to SPAD BUILDS that may suit ................. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/thumbgal...starter=no

Looks like bad news for tomorrow's flying, 12k winds but gentle, most won't be able to fly in such gentle winds, Evan bixlers might find it difficult to fly in such gentle conditions. Might have to batten down in clubhouse for some mig7 tutorial lessons!!!
