I have to say that I absolutely loved the Scanner Racing yesterday. My heart was pumping so hard, I could feel it in my chest and I'm sure anyone next to me could hear it! I've never been so nervous before a competition and I had to hide my shaking while I was walking back and when I was placing my transmitter down! What a thrill it was.
I'd also have to say what a great job our club did of running our very first competition, ever. After the first practice round, everything was practically faultless. From what I saw, one man really stood out doing his role yesterday, and that was Dan. He showed great leadership as our race starter and we all had no doubt as to what was going on before the race, during and after. He had great communication with all the pilots, callers and the lonely 3 sitting at No. 2 pylon. Awesome job Dan and thank you from all of us.
Can't wait for the next one, although I will have to wait for the next 'local' one I'm afraid.
Also, thanks to the guys from the other clubs for coming along. Certainly wouldn't have been the same without you or your guidance.
Thanks Rod for your advice as my caller. You did an excellent job and it was good to talk with experienced modellers that have been doing this for a while. Thanks guys.

Everyone knows that REAL ENGINES are used by REAL men. Eklectic motors are best left for use in toothbrushes and other unnecessary things.
